Targeting Acne and Oil Control Means Finding the Right Solution

by August 7, 2020

Acne can be devastating to your morale. We all want our skin to look our best. Targeting acne and oil control means using products that can help you with excessive sebum production, while balancing your skin’s pH levels. This keeps your skin in optimum health, looking its best, and makes it less prone to irritation.
We find that by following a well-structured skin care routine with the right ingredients, you can not only target your excessive acne and oil production but create an environment for your skin that promotes a healthier appearance.

Skincare Solutions:

Let’s look at the solution. There are three main products we recommend when asked about acne and oil control. The first is our Anti-Blemish Clear Skin Treatment. This offers a non-irritating blend of ingredients perfect for spot treatments. With a combination of Salicylic Acid, Willow Bark Extract, and Clove Essential Oil, you can target those breakouts with a quick, healing solution. Did you know that Clove Essential Oil has antibacterial properties? So, while it addresses swelling and acne, it also works to kill infectious bacteria.
Another product we highly recommend when it comes to targeting acne and oil control is our Moisturizing Treatment Sensitive/ Acne-Prone Skin Treatment. The antioxidant ingredients help target free radicals. Other soothing ingredients in our skin treatment help calm your skin while destroying bacteria. Turmeric offers antiseptic and antibacterial properties. We take skin care seriously, and with the right combination of ingredients, this treatment is a powerhouse of healing solutions that gently calms your skin.
Lastly, it’s important to talk about moisturizers. Because your skin is prone to breakouts, you’ll want to make sure to address your moisturizing needs with the right product. Many people worry if they use a moisturizer on acne prone skin it will make the situation worse, but this is because they have the wrong information. Using the right ingredients that keep your skin at its optimal pH level is crucial. Don’t avoid moisturizers, simply avoid moisturizers that aren’t targeted for your specific condition.
Our PH Balancing Moisturizer keeps your delicate skin condition in mind. Let us show you the difference. We use ingredients like Jojoba oil which doesn’t clog pores, along with soothing ingredients that not only help reduce the signs of aging, but make sure your skin doesn’t get irritated. Organic Comfrey is one such ingredient that we use in our PH Balancing Moisturizer. What it does is soften your skin and promotes skin regeneration. Another important ingredient we use is Sunflower Oil. This amazing ingredient helps your skin retain moisture, while offering nutrients and antioxidants that tackle your acne skincare issues.

Our recommendation for your acne and oil control issues:

  • Anti-Blemish Clear Skin Treatment (perfect spot treatment)
  • Moisturizing Treatment Sensitive/ Acne-Prone Skin Treatment (soothing, while targeting the issue)
  • PH Balancing Moisturizer (gentle, yet effective, non-clogging moisturizer)

When it comes to your face, it’s the first thing people see. When you’re self-conscious due to acne issues, it can leave you feeling vulnerable. Yes, it’s frustrating to deal with, but there are solutions you can rely on. Trust products that offer you effective solutions with the right ingredients that are non-irritating, don’t clog your pores, and address the problem at hand.
At Dirran Organic, we pride ourselves on using healthy ingredients that offer nutritional value to your skin, while helping you overcome the issues that leave you feeling less than your best. Let us help. We’ve got the acne and oil control products you need—products that can have you feeling vibrant once again and leave you with clear skin.

Wrinkles and Anti-Aging?

by July 15, 2020

Do You Use Retinol for Wrinkles and Anti-Aging?

When you’re looking for antiaging remedies, you’ll hear the word Retinol come up often. Let’s take a closer look at why this powerhouse ingredient is so important and what it can do for you when it comes to wrinkles while helping your skin look its best.
Retinol is a Vitamin A (A1 to be precise) and has the ability to help your skin. This specific version of Vitamin A is highly touted by dermatologists and is added to most skin care products that focus on anti-aging properties because it works so well.

Did you know that Retinol can be derived from plants?

While there are chemically induced versions of retinol, they can be harsher to the skin. We only use natural retinol so you get the same great benefits without irritating your skin.
It can be confusing, but it’s important to understand that retinol and retinoids are different strengths of a similar ingredient. Retinoids are prescription strength. You won’t find them in regular skin care products. Retinol is the strength that’s safe for your skin without a doctor’s care. If you choose something too strong, it’s not good for you and can damage your skin if it’s not used properly.
Let’s go back to the benefits of Retinol. At the cellular level, retinol can made changes to the cells. This is a rarity, as many ingredients don’t have that full effect. As we get older, our collagen production slows down, but Retinol can help regenerate collagen production. Collagen is what gives us elasticity and a youthful look. Retinol also helps your skin retain its natural moisture while helping its tone and color.
One thing to point out is that if you’re using a Retinol treatment, avoid direct sunlight for a short bit after applying, because it can create more sun sensitivity. Another important factor to point out is that when you’re applying retinol products to your skin, it’s important to apply it to dry skin. So, after you’ve cleansed your skin and during your skincare routine, be sure to pat your skin dry before you apply your retinol products, such as our Advanced Retinol Serum. If you apply retinol to damp skin, there’s more chance of irritation because of how it absorbs. Dry skin will alleviate this situation.
When it comes to Retinol and its anti-aging properties, it’s well documented.
At Dirran Organic, we have both an Advanced Retinol Serum and an Advanced Retinol Moisturizer.
We highly recommend only using one retinol product at a time, so you don’t become overly sensitive. Let’s look closer at what each product offers.
Advanced Retinol Serum is 98% Naturally Derived and 72% Organic. We care about the ingredients we use in our skincare, so you know you’re only getting the best. Some of the main ingredients that we combine with retinol to give you the best product possible are Wheat Germ Oil and Green Tea Leaf Extract.

What do these other ingredients provide?

Wheat germ oil helps build collagen while infusing 23 different nutrients to your skin. This is often used for age-defying boost repairs, while also helping to heal and prevent scarring. Green tea leaf extract offers antioxidant EGCG. This helps rejuvenate skin cells, and protects and repairs them.
Our Advanced Retinol Moisturizer is a great choice if you’re not in the market for a full serum, which is an extra dose of nutrients delivered in a treatment. You get the benefits of retinol in a moisturizing cream for your face. With Horsetail Plant Extract and Witch Hazel, you’ve got a winning combination. The anti-aging effects of retinol work wonders, while the horsetail plant extract focuses on not only anti-aging, but also helping soothe inflammation and helps diminish the look of pores. Witch Hazel’s  antioxidant properties protect against future skin damage.
No matter which product you choose, you know you’re getting high-quality natural and organic ingredients that will help your skin look it’s best. Our Advanced Retinol Moisturizer is 97% Naturally Derived and 71% Organic. Dirran Organic uses only the best ingredients for your skin, because we care.

The Best 7 Habits for Skin Health

by June 21, 2020

When it comes to great skin care habits, it goes without saying that drinking plenty of hydrating water is essential, as is using a good sunblock. But what other habits can you practice to help your skin stay healthy and look its best? Here are a few to get you started.

A List of 7 Great Skin Health Habits

  1. Always wash your make-up off at the end of the day. It’s important to remove the day’s environmental residue and pollution, along with the products you used such as foundations, highlighters, shadows and bronzers. Leaving these on your skin can clog your pores. It’s good to make sure to cleanse regularly to keep your skin healthy. Our gentle and effective 2 – In – 1 Make Up Remover & Cleanser is a great place to start.
  1. Moisturizers are essential in keeping your skin hydrated. They add vital ingredients to your skin and help retain them. This aids your skin’s barrier layer. Not only will your skin look better and have a smoother appearance, you’re also restoring and replenishing the moisture barrier. We recommend one of our moisturizers like the popular Advanced Smoothing Crème which not only helps moisturize your skin, but also improves the signs of aging.
  1. Choose products with natural and organic ingredients. It’s usually synthetic, lab-created products with dyes and fragrance that irritate the skin. Trust nature and avoid harsh chemicals and pesticides in your products. At Dirran Organic, we care about the ingredients we put in our skincare line, because we want only the best. As an example, our Super Fruit Antioxidant Masque is 99% Naturally Derived and 70% Organic.
  1. Choose the right product for your skin type. If you have sensitive skin, you don’t want to use products created for those with oily skin. If you have oily skin, dry skin products aren’t going to do you any favors. It’s important to understand the differences. Also, as a side note, dry and dehydrated are two different things, even though you hear them interchangeably at times. Dry skin is a skin type. Dehydrated skin is a condition. Dry skin is a lack of sebum, where dehydrated skin is a lack of water. For example, our Daytime Routine for Normal & Dry Skin targets those with normal or dry skin.
  1. Exfoliation is an important part of your skin care routine. This helps slough away dead skin cells, leaving your skin looking renewed, fresh, and ready to absorb your serum, such as our Vitamin C Stem C-20 Serum. Another aspect of exfoliation is that it keeps your skin clear. If we don’t exfoliate, the dead skin cells stay on your skin and act like glue, clogging your pores. This means that you’re more prone to breakouts. Pimples, acne, and blackheads become a larger issue when you don’t exfoliate those skin cells away. A good choice to help with exfoliation is by using our AHA & Kojic Acid Brightening Cleanser. This not only cleanses skin, but with salicylic acid gently helps resurface your skin while exfoliating.
  1. Choosing not to overdo it on the treatments. You don’t want to use something harsh, or over apply something like retinol where you can be left with skin sensitivity. Great ingredients can do wonderful things, but some ingredients are better done in smaller doses. For example, a retinol vs. a retinoid. Retinoids are too strong for over the counter products and need a prescription. Even when using a retinol, you want to use one product, not layer retinol product over retinol product, or you can damage your skin. It will make your skin too sensitive.
  1. Lastly, it’s important to get enough sleep. Our skin goes into repair mode as we sleep. Be sure to nourish it well before you go to bed with a masque, serum, or nutrient dense oil or moisturizer and let it absorb to help your skin look its best. We love our Advanced Noni Facial Treatment Oil and are sure you will too.

Skin Pigmentation Problem

by May 27, 2020

Do you Have a Skin Pigmentation Problem? We Have the Solution.

Vitamin C is a must when it comes to your skin routine, especially if you have skin pigmentation problems. In an article about Vitamin C and skin health, Oregon State University says, “The antioxidant properties of vitamin C and its role in collagen synthesis make vitamin C a vital molecule for skin health.”

With that in mind, you want to choose a skin care treatment that’s gentle, can address your problem, and help correct the pigmentation. Our Vitamin C Stem C-20 Serum helps your skin look its best with safe, natural, and organic ingredients.

When it comes to skincare, you should know what you’re putting on your face. So many companies today use synthetic ingredients derived in a lab that irritate your skin. At Dirran Organic, you can trust us to use healthful ingredients that offer nutritional value to your skin, while still offering you a solution to address your skin pigmentation issues.

Vitamin C Stem C-20 Serum

Here are more benefits of using Vitamin C in your skin care routine. Don’t just take our word for it, check out what NCBI, says about it. “Vitamin C can help fade pigmentation and smooth the skin’s surface to reduce dullness…and has been shown to impede melanin production. This can help fade dark spots and lead to a more even-toned complexion.”

One of the things you’ll notice immediately is how convenient and easy our Vitamin C Stem C-20 Serum is to apply and add to your routine. Simply spray a small amount on your skin after cleansing, and before you add your moisturizer be sure to let it absorb.

Our Orange Stem Cell and Dandelion Extract combine with the power of Vitamin C to deliver you a skin brightening treatment that improves the appearance of your dull, dry skin. Our Plant Stem Cell technology nurtures your skin and helps rebuild elasticity while promoting collagen production. Enjoy a smoother, more vibrant appearance.

Our Vitamin C Stem C-20 Serum is a powerhouse of safe, gentle nutrition for your skin.

What does Orange Stem Cell do for you? This ingredient helps your skin cell structures and aids the synthesis of collagen. The Dandelion Extract has a high-level of antioxidant beta-carotene. What this does is to offer protection from cellular damage and oxidative stress.

Now, combine those two amazing ingredients and their benefits with the proven strength of Vitamin C for your skin, and you’ve got a winning solution for your skincare needs. You can address dryness, dullness, hyperpigmentation, while promoting collagen production. Younger, brighter, more vibrant skin will not only make you look better, but it will also help you feel better about your skin.

We understand. Hyperpigmentation issues can leave you feeling vulnerable. There’s no need to let this bother you any longer. By addressing the issue with a proven solution, you can finally have the smooth, bright skin you’ve longed for.

Dirran Organic offers you organic and natural solutions for all your skin care needs. We leave out the irritants that so many companies use with synthetic lab created ingredients that, let’s face it, you probably can’t even pronounce. Only use skin care ingredients you know and can trust.

If you’re struggling with a skin pigmentation issue, we have the answer. Our Vitamin C Stem C-20 Serum can help you get back to the skin you love.

Organic or Natural?

by September 10, 2019

What is Organic Skincare? Is it the Same as Natural Skincare?

When it comes to organic skincare, it’s easy to get confused since there are so many terms that mean similar things but aren’t quite the same. Let’s clear up that confusion. Organic means that the ingredients that were grown and sourced for a product were done so without using harsh chemicals or pesticides. They are agricultural products. To be labeled organic, the product must contain 70% organic material.

You’ll also hear the term natural. So, what’s the difference?

Natural means naturally occurring. That means they aren’t synthetically created in a lab. They are ingredients you find in nature. Many dyes and perfumes in skincare products come from synthetically created ingredients and end up irritating skin.

At Dirran Organic, we happily list all our ingredients. This way you can see the natural and organic items used in our products. We’re proud of the care we use in making the best products for your skin. Take for instance our cleanser that’s perfect for make-up removal. Look at the ingredient list which is both natural and organic.

  • 92% Naturally Derived / 70% Organic
  • Organic Aloe Vera Leaf Juice
  • Organic Coconut Oil
  • Apricot Kernel Oil
  • Safflower Seed Oil
  • Organic Sunflower Seed Oil
  • Vitamin E
  • Grape Seed Oil
  • Coconut Powder
  • Honey
  • Organic Gotu Kola Extract
  • Horsetail Plant Extract
  • Wild Geranium Extract
  • Dandelion Extract

Here’s an important indicator. If you’re trying to read a list of ingredients and you either can’t pronounce something, or it has some really weird, made up sounding name, you can bet it’s a synthetic material. Now, look at the list above again. Aloe, apricot, coconut, honey, these are all things you know and recognize. We pride ourselves on only using the best ingredients—ingredients you can trust.

Let’s look at what can be different between natural and organic. Organic means it’s agriculturally grown without chemicals. Natural means it it’s naturally occurring in nature. Also, while everything organic is natural, not everything natural is organic.

When something says it’s natural, it generally means that other things weren’t added to the product, such as dyes or other potentially harsh ingredients like synthetic or artificial additives. In other words, they aren’t highly processed to change what they are. Think about when a chicken lays an egg. That is a natural product. There aren’t things added to the egg.

Let’s look at another product. Again, note how every ingredient is one you recognize and can actually pronounce.  Our Peptide Day Eye Moisturizer has a long list of ingredients, but when you look at them, you’ll understand how important using natural ingredients is to us. Notice things like aloe, sunflower, cucumber, and organic olive extract. We want only the best for our customers.

  • 98% Naturally Derived /68% Organic
  • Organic Aloe Vera Leaf Juice
  • Organic Sunflower Oil
  • Glycolic Acid
  • Squalene
  • Castor Oil
  • Botanical Hyaluronic Acid
  • Alpha Lipoic Acid
  • Cucumber Hydrosol
  • Coenzyme Q10
  • Wildcrafted Propolis
  • Organic Oregon Grape Root Extract
  • Lime Extract
  • Organic Olive Extract
  • Lemon Balm
  • Shea Butter
  • Organic Jojoba Oil
  • Vitamin E
  • Provitamin B5
  • Apple Extract
  • Lemon Extract
  • Sugar Cane Extract
  • Peptides
  • Lemongrass Oil
  • Vitamin C
  • Organic Green Tea

Let’s now look at a list of ingredients from a top-popular skincare line. It makes you wonder what’s actually in their products!

Water, Dimethicone, Isononyl Isononanoate, Glycerin, Trisiloxane, Cetyl Alcohol, Styrene/acrylates Copolymer, Steareth-21, Nylon-12, Dimethicone…and the list goes on.

27 ingredients, and the only one recognizable in nature is water! No wonder so many people have sensitivity issues to a lot of skincare products. What are you putting on your face?

When it comes to skin care, choose a name and product you can trust. Start turning those bottles around and reading ingredients. You just might be surprised by what you see and can’t pronounce!

At Dirran Organics, we only use gentle and safe ingredients that are perfect for your skin. We make products that are nutritionally valuable and beneficial to your skin, while giving you the results you want.
